Confidence on the Water
Basic Coastal Navigation
This introductory Standard covers a basic knowledge of navigation theory and is the initial Standard in a comprehensive set of Standards offered by Sail Canada on vessel navigation.

Intermediate Coastal Navigation
This Standard builds on the basic knowledge of navigation theory presented in the Sail Canada Basic Coastal Navigation Standard.

Basic Cruising
This course develops the student’s ability to take command of and operate (with assistance of competent crew) an auxiliary powered sailing vessel, by day, in light to moderate conditions.

This course builds basic boating skills under sail and power, and develops the student’s ability to assist in operation of an auxiliary powered sailing vessel as competent crew, by day, in light to moderate conditions.

Intro to Boating
This course is intended to provide novice boaters the opportunity to experience the joys of boating. The session(s) may also be used for the purpose of building crew teamwork skills on water.

Start Keelboat Sailing
This course is intended to provide novice boaters the opportunity to experience the joys of boating. The session(s) may also be used for the purpose of building crew teamwork skills on water.

VHF with DSC ROC(M)
This course will teach you the rules, etiquette and usage of VHF radio in clear, simple lessons. It is legally required to operate a VHF marine radio. Course materials included.

PCOC (Pleasure Craft Operators Certificate) Boater’s License
This course is intended to provide novice boaters the opportunity to experience the joys of boating. The session(s) may also be used for the purpose of building crew teamwork skills on water.This certification is required to legally operate any powered pleasure craft in Canada, including those with electric trolling motors This course teaches essential boating safety knowledge required to operate a motorized pleasure craft in Canada, covering topics such as safety equipment, navigation, rules of the water, and emergency procedures.
